I've never seen an artist so good struggle so much to get shine. Times have changed drastically. Really tho, i'm running out of excuses for King Los. I still do and probably always will consider him the greatest lyricist who ever lived, (Him and Em) but i'm lookin in the pudding and it keeps showin me the proof that he can't make a hit that actually goes over the fence.. I would say Drake, Kendrick are homerun hitters. Sadly Los definitely wants to be in the homerun derby, but he has to accept his role as the best hitter.... ala Ichiro or somebody. Still recognized.. just not as a heavyweight. This is a life lesson to learn from, because instead of embracing his role as a hitter, he tries extremely hard to hit homers, and ends up hitting pop flys... the 9th inning is underway. sheesh.. with all that being said.. go check out RandyLB 6 god remix. sheeesh.

If Ghetto Boy is any indication, the God theme could be about the faith needed to persevere and make it out of something (like the Ghetto) and the mindset that it requires. On the flip side, the War theme is Los arguing to point out the pitfalls of having that mindset (3rd verse of "War"). Money, then, could be how you first get into that mindset...Or im just expecting way too much out of this tape, Drop the damn thing!

You guys got it all wrong, the only two simgles off his first ever upcoming album are War and Ghetto Boy.. Both songs prod by Tha Internz and have crazy meaningful lyrics with insane beats and great rhyme schemes. This isn't a single from the album, just one to throw out there for RCA to have a fun single to hit the radio so people eventually peep GMW. Quit freaking out. This is his first ever album regardless of his all original mixtapes. He's taking this shit serious from top to bottom. Let him have a little fun.

Been a fan since before Shooter, also an analyst of lyrics. Don't listen to the likes of Young Thug, Migos and such because that music garbage. I like this song from Los. It has a good beat and chorus which for those who are fans of Los and actually want him to blow up, realized he was missing both components. Missing those kept him from going mainstream and making the money he deserves because he has been grinding for it. The subject matter is to appeal to the masses, yet he still manages to deliver lyrical gold like Lupe on "Next To It". Same people on here complaining about this song, be the ones bumping the above bums that I forsake.

If you want more war type stuff, keep that song on repeat, or listen to Lupe (who has songs like this) Or Crooked i even RoyceLook at all of Los' albums all of them are a mixture between this type of music and war type songs there is never just one body of work that's ome collective theme like that and I will can't all be serious has to bounce back and forth, it needs contrast.

I don't see what the problem is. Not everything has to be serious, gut wrenching, revolutionary. Simply because not everything in life is serious. Is a type of song when you just finished watching a movie with the fam and y'all riding back to the crib turning up, like if you can dance to war then by all means.
