Three of a Perfect Pair is the tenth studio album by the band King Crimson, released on March 27, 1984. The album is a balance between the experimental Discipline, and the more commercially accessible Beat. Tony Levin had more input than on any other King Crimson album. It is divided into a "left" and "right" side, with a third side added in 2001. One of the bonus tracks is a barbershop a cappella in which all four members supposedly sing but is really Levin's voice overdubbed to create harmonization. Following the literary theme of the preceding two albums, the album title may be a subtle nod to the novel Nineteen Eighty-Four, as the album was released in the actual year 1984.

Come on all you need to know is Frank Zappa had Belew fronting his band!! FZ did not EVER pick anyone but top shelf musicians. Belew's vocals have the most "feeling" of any KC vocalist. You detractors either don't know a thing about music or have not listened to enough of his time w/ KC?

Hmm.. Levin is an amazing dude, but to me he was always wrong for KC.. I dunno, maybe I still need to listen to some more tracks from that time, but his style just seems so, ehm, "overly cautious" - if that makes any sense... Wetton was so fucking ballsy with his bassplaying. Like, Wetton wielded his bass like a fucking battleaxe, while Levin treated it more like a delicate flower, lol. However, Levin complimented Belew so well, but I can't stand Belew's singing, lol. Love the guy's enthusiasm on stage though. Anybody heard that "Thunder" album by Victor Wooden and two other guys (can't remember)? I would give my vital organs to have Wetton and Bruford do something similar, those two guys were designed to play together IMO.. :D

This song reminds me of a lot of the 80's music (of similar style/genre) I listened to growing up. Good memories! This track is one of my favorites from this album!

first time I read comments under anything and see no obscenities galore. one of my favorite albums, this track in particular. came to it late in life, when I was 39. and been listening to them since I was 16. Still, number one remains Red.

Apparently it's crazy to you. Chill the fuck out you don't preside over anyone's perspective but your own. Maybe one day in your life you'll get the appeal of this album, but until then why do you care if other people like it? I would never have discovered King Crimson if not for this album so I'm extremely grateful it even exists. Stop being a cunt for no reason.
