Ahh, damn. Ya got me. Yes, technically that isn't a solo. Should I say Adam's part at the breakdown instead? On the topic of solos, why must every metal, and metal subgenres, song have a solo? Some solos take away from a song. Music isn't always about showing off. I say if you're gonna put a solo in a song, at least make it flow. The best guitarist I have ever seen do this is Dan Donnegan of Disturbed, particularly the "Torn" solo.

You know...I looked at that point of the song and I didn't hear a guitar solo there...so I checked the rest of the song and couldn't find one at all. Dave Mustaine did an interview talking about how there was a lack of guitar solo's in the newer "metal" bands...basically a lack of guitar chops is what prevents modern guitar players doing anything other than simple heavy riffing.
