Kevin came to us and said he wanted to be a drummer. He had seen Jake's (the kid in the first few frames with the red hat singing the Pink Floyd song***) Stepdad playing drums to a Stevie Ray Vaughn song. Kevin's Dad had guitars around the house...so we told him to play the guitar if he was interested in music. Well, he pretty much taught himself to play by watching videos of different guitarists and bands-plus he listened to the albums that we had or that he had purchased.

This is the montage of some old HI8 video of Kevin. We have loved watching Kevin grow - from a little boy who had big dreams and is fulfilling them with a lot of hard work and determination (throw in luck also). ****The Pink Floyd song's words were changed for a school project.....the boys did know the actual words to the song.

Thank you all for your comments! Kevin has lived and breathed music since he picked up the guitar...there has been nothing else he was interested in. When you find your passion, follow it. At first, it may suck because you may be eating PB sandwiches everyday just to get by but at least you're doing what you love. When you do what you love, it never becomes a "job".

Kevin is the reason why i picked up guitar and he is such an inspiration to me. I have been fortunate enough to watch him play live twice but i hope one day I will have the opportunity of thanking him for being such an amazing role model in my life.
