you know, you can tell that Lucky Thompson graduated from Don Byas Tenor Sax school, Chu Berry's too. But he developed the schools further,,you can tell by the way he phrases his notes, its different, just more modern and rythmically dynamic. Hes a true bebop speaker whereas Chu and Don were playing bebop harmonically, but not rhymicallly.11 years ago
