They had their own TV show which I think lasted a month or two. But this song is pure Top-40 pop. Yes it should have done much, much better here in the US. I noticed you played the album version that has the longer instrumental riff in the middle. The radio stations played mostly the 45 version.

I was eleven years old when I heard this song on their T.V show. I only heard it once, but the song has stuck in my head all these years. I can't believe I still remember it. Good tune. Good memories.

This was really a happy feel good song, sadly this type of music is missing today. Everything these days is loud, harsh and puts you on edge. This was a well produced track! The kid had a great voice too!

The Keane Brothers also had a CBS series that ran as a summer replacement for The Smothers Brothers Show. Clips are available from the show here on YouTube. Tom Keane is now a records producer (Shaka Khan, Celine Dion) and John writes producction music for CSI.

Thanks for all the great info. I met the Keane Brothers after their show at the Holidahy House in Pittsburgh in 1977 or 78 with their Dad, Bob. One correction though, Bob was the founder of DEL-FI records (not Keane Records), which was famous also for discovering Ritchie Valens. Bob also played Clarinet and sat in often with the Tonight Show Band on Johnny Carson.

this is ringing a very vague bell. it's probably one of those songs i heard and because it wasn't a hit, i totally forgot about, but it's buried in my subconscious. i read in a psychology book that every word you've ever heard in your life is in your brain somewhere.

It's not the Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons cover.
