I don't think you know what consumer friendly means. A couple hundred or thousand more sales each album doesn't equate to mainstream or consumer friendly. Death metal never will be consumer friendly and so that term makes no sense. Until I see tween girls and old people buy Kataklysm albums I don't think you can say that about them. Honestly if you really listen, nothing much has changed except some of the riffs these days are a bit slower and the vocals are less chaotic. They're still awesome!
