Melancholy songs always bring out the good and bad in reality. Kaskade's songs usually seem to follow some kind of pattern of euphoria and/or the aftereffects. I think he once described it as "the life of the party" and then the life AFTER the party. Always love the dualism.

Also, you gotta be pretty dense to not realize that this song is about losing your virginity and regretting it. Talking about: "...it was taken over night", "diamond wedding rings", "But I've been taken, shame on me..." It could also be that he is using that example to portray a loss of innocence in general. How is this not at least relatively obvious?

You really think that every time you hear somebody singing that they are the one doing all the composition, performing, and producing of that song? Probably at least 95% of songs with female vocals that you hear we're composed, performed, and produced by a male.
