This was the only Status Quo song that I ever liked, in fact I loved this song back in the day. Kasabian have done a good job. They've really managed to evoke memories of the psychedelia of the late 60's and early 70's.

Judging by the number of comments, some controversial, this is a great pop song.Besides the original by Status Quo, Camper van Beethoven has recorded an interesting version of "Pictures of Matchstick Men". All versions are worthy of listening to anyway I have saved it to my favourite pop music folder from Youtube.

For Fluffs Sake Dudes,Stop all this " their version is better than theirs "stuff.......... 'eh ??It's a great song, the original was great and Kasabian have obviously had a great time putting their own spin on what must have influenced them to do it in the first place and guess what ??? It Works......... it's all good....... and it's better to hear an original cover than a "tribute" note for note clone, thats just boring.......

Status are much better this is good but status are just a top band more fun with their songs and there guitar playing is much better and more harder compared to these top song though
