So I'm hopelessly obsessed with the new tv series, "Outlander" and it only took me three episodes to jump online and buy the books. Once I get myself properly immersed in this story and these beautiful characters, I'm sure I'm going to have songs and ballads pouring out of me as I find this story so gorgeously inspiring. For now, though, I thought I'd start by covering this spine tingly version of "Skye Boat Song" by "Bear McCreary" which is used in the opening titles.
As a Scottish lass myself, this was really quite a beautiful one for me to record for it takes me home. I love you Scotland! xx

Original version by Bear McCreary for 'Starz: tv series, "Outlander"
Original 'Skye Boat Song" written by Sir Harold Boulton
-- | LYRICS |--
Sing me a song of a lass that is gone,
Say, could that lass be I?
Merry of soul she sailed on a day
Over the sea to Skye.
Billow and breeze, islands and seas,
Mountains of rain and sun,
All that was good, all that was fair,
All that was me is gone.
Sing me a song of a lass that is gone,
Say, could that lass be I?
Merry of soul she sailed on a day
Over the sea to Skye.
