Live at The Summit, Houston TX, December 9th, 1980. This song is from the "Leftoverture" album. What makes this video special is that it's got all 6 original band members. The Houston concert is the only complete concert on film in circulation before the band lost their lead singer Steve Walsh.

Wow this video makes me even more upset for being born in the late 90s. I'd give so much to see that gig live

He left cause Kerry Livgren their main song writer had become a Christian and was writing more overt lyrics about his faith. Dino Elefante who was also a Christian replaced Steve for the Vinyl Confessions Album and subsequent albums.

I only do homework on things that are worth doing homework on, overrated bands are not one of them.

@stolendolin No matter what- you can always count on Kansas to sound great and set fire to emotions and memories. At 45, I grew up with it - My twins (boy and a girl) at 15 months old already enjoy the music and will grow up with it- Kansas and Steve's solo material is like pizza: even when its not perfect live its damn good and you want it anyway! It inspires.

Well, what a fucking bummer that some asshole record company executive felt like they had to come along and disable this audio. Does anyone in their right mind really believe that having this video with audio up on youtube is going to have any negative effect whatsoever on the income generated by the band? How ridiculous! If anything, it's going to increase the band's income as the only thing they are making any appreciable amount of money off of now days is touring, not album sales.

Copyright is a fraud. No one can aquire the right to stop others from using what they have copied. It doesn't matter how upset I am about someone copying my work or idea. Try introducing the ideas of patents & copyright to the inhabitants of a small desert island and see how long you go before getting punched in the face. It is ONLY possible to introduce it by use of FORCE to supress dissenters. Making it look legitimate takes a lot of PR over many years. Government has that time & money.
