I remember seeing Junior in the 1980's here in Kansas City He did a version of James Brown's Payback it was ausome he kicked it thru the whole set! It was at a place called the longstar in the westport area!

No, over the years the stress of married life has taken it's toll on me. My wife was jealous of me playing and broke 24 keys on the organ. Update, just bought another Hammond and am retired. almost 30 yrs and no practice sure makes a difference.

When I was a kid and heard Junior Walker, I knew that I wanted to play the sax. Such a unique sound. I feel bad for the kids today who do not have great music to listen to.

Saw Junior in Newport, South Wales about 30 years ago...on the bill with Jimmy Ruffin and Edwin Starr. Jnr was a great performer, rolling over on the stage and blowing away like a mighty hurricane. Good times!
