She's bad at interviews and seemed uncomfortable promoting her own albums. She doesn't actually seem to want to be famous if you read her book. Female sopranos aren't exactly rock and roll royalty. More mezzo turf. Oh, and luck. I know at least 3 artists as talented as her. 1 plays in a major band, 1 is a struggling (working) indie artist like her, and 1 works at a gas station mostly and tours europe on occasion.

Such a fun song. I agree with jhess74 surprise at Julianna's lack of popularity. When I discuss music with friends and family, I always bring Julianna up as a favorite of mine and everyone says, "Who?" Julianna's talent dwarfs so much of what is crammed into our ears via the radio; she has earned EPIC status. She is wickedly talented and I hope she continues to write music.

@jhess74 she got blacklisted after the God's Foot fiasco. She clearly has the talent and ability to be at the top, but her ethics (respect) scared the powers that be to keep her out of the limelight. Regardless, she's a legend and a true treasure.

I love this song. To this day, I'm dumbfounded as to why it never became an insanely big hit. If anything Juliana ever did was going to cross over and blow up in the mainstream, it was this song. Oh well... I'm more than happy to have her as the best musician no one I meet has ever heard of.
