Apparently this album was recorded in late 1995 or early 1996, but Judas Priest were in need of a new singer at that time. XD

Wow this guy's really great. No wonder Priest plucked him out of obscurity to replace Rob Halford.

i bought that record in july 2001... I sold it in september 2001...That's not the Priest ! Just a trial to imitate powermetal bands like Pantera or Machine Head...Not their stuff... keep on rockin', guys : Electric eyes rule !

I love the more modern thrashier feel of the Ripper albums. I wish they did more of that with Rob after he returned.

Always kinda thought this album is like a one or 2 hit wonder, but am actually seriously thinking of buying this now. this song and jugulator are out there with classic priest.

Classic track. Although Rob Halford’s vocals are unbeatable, Ripper Owens was a superb second best. Couldn’t have imagined anyone else taking Halford’s place.

It's criminal that the reunited Priest has ignored this song. Halford would absolutely shred it. Also, while they're at it, a Halford-Owens duo of "Metal Messiah" would be nice. But I guess they'd rather play tired old radio hits at this point.
