It is funny to listen to the goofy pseudo-songs used on the YourTube commercials and compare them to Joni Mitchell's REAL songs...There's no comparison in Joni's Quality music.

There's something so sweet and poignant in this song, between the apparent sadness, if you are sensitive enough to feel it, between the little spaces and cracks, something inspirational and uplifting. When she sings, "old bonds have broken down, love is gone," she is talking about the way the wheel of fortune turns, and some things and people leave your life, but there is always new love. It's that feeling when you drive away from one town, and move to a new one. When you look in the rear-view mirror. It's all okay. Everything comes and goes. Marked by lovers. And styles of clothes. You can choose ultimately, you can crawl or you can fly, you can hold onto it, or move on. It all comes down to what you want :-) It's up to you

Listening to this song is a journey through several musical landscapes. Coming up on the rise of each successive hill a new vista of startling breadth is revealed, each one a surprising new experience of Joni Mitchell's creative genius. It's a genuine landmark that never fails to amaze me. The odd thing is that it's not a happy or hopeful song but really really sad.

This is incredible talent, soulful and bright, beyond anything I've ever heard in my lifetime.

Sheer, pure genius -- the melody, the lyrics, the composition. The orchestral part is incredibly beautiful and so evocative of deep emotions. How blessed my life has been by this remarkable woman's music. Deep bows.

Joni never brought me down. She expresses our hearts, laid bare. It's a rare and joyous experience for me to cry again like a child..
