My memory of this beautiful song is of being in the lower berth of the C.N. "Supercontinental" train going from Toronto to Vancouver in about 1955, passing thru the Rockies on a clear, moonlit night, as my mother quietly sang this song to my sister and me in her beautiful contralto voice. A beautiful memory.

@jakepallen123 I don't know what your talking about. I just looked down all the comments made for this clip and I can't find a negative one at all. Sure there are a lot of people who don't like Johnnie Ray, my wife is one, but they wouldn't be listening to this rendition anyway. Since I put this clip on I have only got positive feedback.

Everyone is entitled to his opinion, but I don't understand the negative slant to some of these comments. For me, it's one of the best renditions of a beautiful song. What more does anyone want??

@achahei Your welcome, This album of Western Songs that Johnnie did in the late fifties I don't think it was one of his best. But it was pretty good anyway.
