Brat Pack 30 years later. Who's had the best career as of late from the St. Emo's Fire cast in my opinion:1) Rob Lowe: Seems to be the ost releveant and busy actor as of late. Good comedic actor and his commercial for Direct TV were awesome. 2) Demi Moore: Was the biggest star of the group but has mellowed out. 3) Emilio Estevez: made mome money on Mighty Ducks and did some directing but he was Billy the Kid in Young Guns!4) Judd Nelson: mainly because he was on a successful sitcom Suddenly Susan. And was in New Jack City!5) Andrew McCarthy: had a bit of a comeback since the 80's (his 90's were mostly direct to video movies) in some TV work. Done some theater and travel writing. 6) Ally Sheedy. Besides some attention for the movie High Art in '98, she's kept pretty quiet. Done some made for tv movies. 7) Mare Winningham: She was the only cast member in St. Elmos to get an oscar nom for the indy film "Georgia." Hasn't done much acting in the last 15 years.

I guess looking back I still love this movie and music because it was great, but I have a dark cloud over some of these years which was getting hitched to the one thing that almost cost me my life. Like I said this movie and music was still great.

Wondering about the title?St. Elmo's fire (also St. Elmo's light) is a weather phenomenon in which luminous plasma is created by a coronal discharge from a sharp or pointed object in a strong electric field in the atmosphere (such as those generated by thunderstorms or created by a volcanic eruption).St. Elmo's fire is named after St. Erasmus of Formia (also called St. Elmo, one of the two Italian names for St. Erasmus, the other being St. Erasmo), the patron saint of sailors. The phenomenon sometimes appeared on ships at sea during thunderstorms and was regarded by sailors with religious awe for its glowing ball of light, accounting for the name. Because it is a sign of electricity in the air, which can interfere with compass readings, some sailors may have regarded it as an omen of bad luck and stormy weather. Other references indicate that sailors may have actually considered St. Elmo's fire as a good omen (as in, a sign of the presence of their patron saint).
