I played hockey with a bunch of guys for more than 20 years and we finally folded the team last year. For a little while a few of us kept in touch, but it didnt last long. I am freaked out that I'm pushing 50. My Dad passed a few years back and my mom isnt doing so good with her health now. & my 16 year old just wants the car keys. Yah, I relate to this song.

Beautiful,haunting and true.The summer before I saw this performance on Jools Holland I had lost a cat that I had for 16 years.He had been ill and I took him to the vet and the next day they called and told us he had died.When I saw this performance that fall on tv I just cried the whole song through.I know the song is more about people but this song still helped me through the loss of a pet.
