Tom Snyder was one of the few interviewers who didn't take their crap. All the British interviewers shut down and took it (check it out). I loved the end especially "it's too bad that we are all out of step except for you, too bad".

"we're not a band, we're a company" is as hollow and ridiculous a piece of vacuous promotional music industry bullshit as that which they're decrying

I love Johnny Rotten, but he's the biggest douche ever, especially here lmao and Keith is basically just sitting there like an idiot, going along with all of the bs Lydon is spitting. Just like the Sex Pistols, I believe PiL is just going with whatever Lydon is saying and they let him do the talking cuz he's the only one who can make something so stupid sound so smart lmao

... Why is it every time I hear young Johnny speak I just want to throw up? Why do an interview if you're not going to answer questions and act like a child? I thought the questions were not "dumb clichés" at all. People wanted to know what he was doing and what's going on in his life, Snyder was being very polite and tolerable, and Lydon was being a complete douche....I think Lydon has come a long way since this, nowadays he's still opinionated, but less of a douchebag child.

Yes. ''We are not a band, We are a company...'' Great, great, awesome interview ! ;) And Johnny Rotten looks so pretty there. Beautiful, innocent, glassy eyes. <3 Another person in the music industry whom I fell in love!

As much as I love the Pistols and PiL, John is the kind of person I would hate in high school.

if johnny Lyndon was a truly revolted youth but it s obvious that he got anger as a part of his caracter, it s all attitude, just like for the rock star no much difference, probably he was honest when he start but then he fall into his role of the angry guy which i reckon is very charming but a bit empty, but nevermind the bullocks he s great, punk s not dead ah ah , not yet,

Tom is just too caught up in what he is supposed to believe that he cannot recognize the truth from their lips.

The Tom Snyder show was like any entertainment show, all the questions are to be given and answered in little sound bites in order to promote whatever they're selling, whether it's soap flakes or records, and the Pistols weren't about that. And if you didn't toe the line, you were obviously some kind of loser, which Lydon clearly isn't. I saw the Clash on his show, and it was like a Beatlemania rally, with Tom as cheerleader. They plugged their record as if they were Britney Spears and a happy time was had by all. This again definitely wasn't that. I kinda think history comes down more on the side of The Pistols and Tom Snyder is a footnote noted mostly for his weird habits famously lampooned by Dan Akroyd on SNL.
