This piece of music was way too serious to feature the nature of 'The Persuaders'. Both the series and the music were brilliant. There is a kind of balance between fatalism and sadness in this little piece of music. The lightness with which Moore brought the 'Persuaders', hadn't what the music suggested. Moore was bound to be Bond. J. Barry used the 'black piano keys' in a brilliant way.

Phil, I am sorry but I disagree - one is hard pushed today to see anything as good. Some of the stuff today is rubbish, anything that is really decent should be saved and placed on the Endangered Specie list

Hello Claire, you're the only other person I've come across who was scared by the persuaders theme (and Dr Who...). John Barry's epic still 'haunts' me to this day. I used to watch the tv programme as a young boy but the music used to stop me in my tracks...and still does. Wonderful.
