As much as I dislike his style (i.e double bass or go home in most songs) he is quite a good drummer, he has good technique and has good rhythm when it get's down to it. I just don't like how he overdoes everything, sometimes less is more.

Joey jordison is a great drummer he will always be #1 and nobody can't take that away from him. I wish he was still in slipknot.

I doubt this guy even knows what a polyrhythm is. Fast double kick makes everyone think you're good, but he is no where near a "master" but all the fanboys will argue "but he's fast" "he plays drum solos upside down" yea so did tommy lee. Listen to Mike Mangini, Dave Weckyl, Danny Carey, Matt gartska. If Joey is so good, why hasn't he been invited to play at any guitar center drum off finals as a guest?

It's astonishing reading all these negative comments from the joey haters. I'm gonna change it up and praise the guy for being an animal of a drummer. I'm actually a fan of his work and style. MFKR, Slipknot, Iowa, and Volume 3 are my favorite recordings of his.

Ehh, he's okay at best, but id you want a REAL musician, listen to Matt Greiner of August Burns Red. He can drum circles around this yahoo any day. He hasn't a clue what music is and his Modern Drummer cover story from a few years ago was an absolute joke.

Not to lick Joey's ass, but I thought this was impressive. And the people that don't rate him as a drummer, are just keyboard warriors and if any of you are so good that can afford to have such a great sounding kit, be hired by your record label as a session drummer and have as many platinum records this guy has then I'd love to hear from you!

definitely not the master. although it's only a warm up, I can do all that shit in my sleep. ok I can't blast that fast but I'm not into doing the same fucking thing drummers have been doing for years...
