Joe Queer(The Queers) and the Nobodys performing an excellent cover of Walk Like An Egyptian by The Bangles

taken from the "hopelessly devoted to you(too)" compilation from hopeless records. If you ever find one of these cd's pick it up, its 3 bucks and has about 20 songs including bands like against all authority, the queers, and mustard plug.

Lyrics-

All the old paintings on the tombs

They do the sand dance don't you know

If they move too quick (oh whey oh)

They're falling down like a domino

All the bazaar men by the Nile

They got the money on a bet

Gold crocodiles (oh whey oh)

They snap their teeth on your cigarette

Foreign types with the hookah pipes say

Ay oh whey oh, ay oh whey oh

Walk like an Egyptian

Blonde waitresses take their trays

They spin around and they cross the floor

They've got the moves (oh whey oh)

You drop your drink then they bring you more

All the school kids so sick of books

They like the punk and the metal band

When the buzzer rings (oh whey oh)

They're walking like an Egyptian

All the kids in the marketplace say

Ay oh whey oh, ay oh whey oh

Walk like an Egyptian

Slide your feet up the street bend your back

Shift your arm then you pull it back

Life is hard you know (oh whey oh)

So strike a pose on a Cadillac

If you want to find all the cops

They're hanging out in the donut shop

They sing and dance (oh whey oh)

Spin the clubs cruise down the block

All the Japanese with their yen

The party boys call the Kremlin

And the Chinese know (oh whey oh)

They walk the line like Egyptian

All the cops in the donut shop say

Ay oh whey oh, ay oh whey oh

Walk like an Egyptian

Walk like an Egyptian

It's from the CD "Hopelessly Devoted To You Vol. 2", Hopeless Records, Release 1988, Length: 00:44:13. Vol. 2 is not (yet?) listed on Discogs. On the sleeve it says: "21. Nobodys - Walk Like an Egyptian (featuring Joe Queer) (03:00)" (& it's fucking great. ;-)

The second and third guys who sing sound like AAA to me. Also, they had 2 other songs on this same Hopeless album, that is Against all Authority did have "All Fall Down" and some other song on it. Anyhow, I've also always thought this was AAA since I was a kid. I mean, I never even doubted that thought until just now.

No it's not. The band that played this has no name technicaly speaking. AS it's several bands. There's AAA, the Nobodys, The Queers, and I wanna say Falling Sickness. It is, however, listed on the tracklist for Hoplessly devoted to you too, vol II (The album the song was made for) as being by Joey Queer and the Nobodys, so you're all fucking losers

Yes it is. I got an old Punk Bites with this version sang by A.A.A. Theres no such band named Joe Queer and the Nobodys. There is the Nobodys which is a rad band. Never fkn heard of a "Joe Queer".
