My mom took me to see the Mad Dogs and Englishmen movie, I was 10 y.o. at the time. Made a big impression. She also took me to see Gimme Shelter - double bill with Blow Up. And we went to see Jefferson Airplane because Janis died and couldn't make the concert. She also bought me my first Jimi Hendrix cassette.

Joe Cocker was great... Leon Russell made him use it all.... love the LOOK at 3:52 ... WTF Leon? They were all stoned most of the time anyway.

I saw a lot of the rock greats over the years but I enjoyed Joe and Leon and this particular band as much as anybody. They really played some great Rock n' Roll !!

Oh God that was transcendent! Loved seeing footage of the late, great Bobby Keys next to Mr. Cocker. What a powerful, performance. Joe Cocker, you are so beautiful to me. RIP. Somewhere in the ether, there's one hell of a jam session going on...

I don't think I've seen or heard anyone who went at it harder than Joe Cocker. I suspect he fit 140 years of life in his 70.
