always found joan baez songs so amazing vocally and politically but regularly disappointed with the poetry of the lyrics - but this hits nail on the head beautifully, did she write it? don't really care either way - if we could all think like this and remember how damn fortunate most of us are how much kinder would the world be to live in?

Not only has Joan the most beautiful voice ... she is the most committed worker for peace, from the time of segregation, accompanying Martin Luther King, inciting recruits to Vietnam to disaffect, going to jail for this and coming out and going right back to it ... she never compromised her beliefs.
