@ehswan I don't see that she's being "fancy" here; this is her voice. She sings it a cappella which is how it was first recorded by this group here: watch?v=knQvjDgRZoM No less she is doing it solo. So you're saying that you "have yet to hear anyone do this song right"...really, have you heard the original recording from 1909 with the group at the link? She probably did one of the most true, respectful renditions of the song. No instruments. Song was written by a freed slave.
