Single recorded on 14.10.56. Though label says "with Paul Weston", it is in fact, a Ray Conniff arrangement/backing. Note: The videos I upload are for people to enjoy the fabulous music of my favorite recording artists. I DO NOT own copyright for them, so they can be removed by YouTube anytime they want or become necessary.

I heard this song in a Japanese musical sung partly in Japanese and partly in English and had to learn the source of it. Google led me here. Jo Stafford was already one of my favorites. Thank you for posting this beautiful rendition of this lovely song.

The arrangement is nearly the same as Conniff wrote for Don Cherry's "Band of Gold" and he did arrange this record.

love this song. the arrangement certainly carries the conniff stamp. yet, the columbia (CL 944) lp - top 12 volume II - credits ray's orchestra and chorus with five hits: singing the blues (guy mitchell), since i met you baby (mindy carson), you don't owe me a thing (johnny ray), moonlight gambler (frankie laine) and just walking in the rain (johnnie ray). wonder if ray let jo's hubby paul eat the cake and have it too!
