Wow, Wow, Wow. What a beautiful rendition of that beautiful song. Linda Ronstadt. What a voice. For so long she has been the best. I read her book and was pleased to learn how bright and interesting she is, in addition to her wonderful voice. She is a great person to have here on Earth.

I was SO lucky to be back home in Tulsa when Jimmy was one of the 2013 inductees into the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame. He was funny & showed just what a performer he really is....he meshes well with Linda in this hauntingly beautiful song. I'm still crying my heart out that the world will never again hear this voice of hers. Shattered.

This is beautiful, and it is the one last gift to us from Linda. Linda Ronstadt retired from professional singing in 2009 due to her vocal struggles with early Parkinsons Disease. Jimmy personally requested this favor from Linda to sing this Duet with him, It was only through their long friendship that Linda agreed to sing this with her old friend Jimmy before fully losing her ability to sing professionally. It might be the last recording from Linda Ronstadt thanks to Jimmy Webb.

I saw Linda on Tavis Smiley a couple of nights ago. Two songs came to mind that I had to listen to this one and "Feels Like Home" (the solo version-although the one with Dolly and Emmylou is outstanding too.) This is a great post.
