I have to say it; this song is not reggae, I say this because people here seem to think that this is what reagge is all about.Don't get me wrong, i like the song, very catchy and fun. But it was made for commercial succes. And it is definately not reggae. It features NONE of the characteristics that make reggae. Drum accent is not on the 3rd beat, the second guitar does the reggae beat just sometimes (and no entirely). The bass is synthetised (pop and disco use this resource). Keyboard backing plays some arrangments that, like the others on this song, are pop. Does not play the typical reggae. I am not trying to define reggae mainly by this aspects, but these are some characteristics that make the genre. And this song has none. So please, do not consider this reggae. For Reggae go to: Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Groundation, 10 ft Ganjah Plant, Burning Spear, Jacob Miller, Pablo Moses, Johnny Osbourne's first albums, Ken Boothe, Al Brown, Sly & Robbie, The Congos, More Relation, Aswad, Culture, Israel Vibration, The Cimarons, Alpha Blondy, Gregory Isaacs, Dennis Brown, and more.
