Jimi Hendrix, "Foxy Lady" guitar lesson. We're using the SolidgoldFX Formula 69 for a thick fuzz face sound heard in Jimi's later concerts. Although the studio track is in standard tuning, Jimi preferred his guitar half a step down for a heavier sound. Foxy Lady shows the strengths of the SolidGoldFX Formula 69 in terms of warmth, stability (silicon transistors) and cleanliness with a guitar's volume knob. The Foxy Lady riff covered today also shows some extra phrases heard in Jimi's live renditions around 1969. Enjoy your daily guitar lesson.

If you can't figure this out from Andy's lesson rottensparrow, then you're not good enough to be covering Hendrix. No tab can give you the 'feel' to these songs.10 years ago

This may not teach well but sure has the sound nailed. Look up the version from Marty or Mahalo .. makes it easier to follow (but gets the sound less accurate).10 years ago
