He is most famous for writing the song "Mr. Bojangles".[2] Walker's prolific music career and his widespread musical influence have made him an iconic fixture of the Texas country music scene. I think this a beautiful song.

I recognize the guitarist — John Inmon, as Mel noted — and the bassist, who is Robert Livingston. The steel player looks to be Lloyd Maines and the drummer is never shown, although my guess is that it's John's and Bob's teammate in the Gonzo Compadres, Fred Krc, who also backed up Jerry Jeff in the Bandito Band.

I remember as a kid, my dad lived in an Apt complex, where a car had a Jerry Jeff Walker bumper sticker, and I always thought that person was some country bumpkin. Turns out they knew something that I didn't: Jerry Jeff Walker is a talented musician and a great songwriter. This is just an amazing song. It doesn't hurt that I'm falling for a girl name Sally...
