Couldn't tell you the number of times I've listened to this song....if I threw you a guess you wouldn't believe me anyway. Everything about this song tickles the fancy of my ears. The sound, the words, the flow...it's got it all. Marty just kills it. Who can use the word amphitheater in a song and make it fit? Stars on the ground, fences in the sky, tales in the curtain of time.....It's like the wind from the other side of the world, the lights from my eyes hypnotize...where the heck did these words come from...love 'em. Had to have been smokin'!This whole album was/is great, bought it when it came out.

Vastly underrated band an equal radio friendly band as well as fans of excellent musicianship-Marty Balin was just an absolute amazing frontman and Grace's voice and his blend so well and Craig's awesome guitar work really nail it for me-their sound was vintage mid 70's

I really enjoy these ole' wonderful songs on the internet, I have been listening to a lot of Shawn Phillips lately here, really enjoy all of his work, but I said to self, let's see if Hyperdrive was out there. Now I am listening to Starship music again, this is intensely beautiful fast paced music. These are great chords and lyrics traveling through my old head. Enjoy and appreciate this music. WOW

From a financial point of view, Marty carried the 'plane =and= the 'ship on his songwriting back. Grace and Paul gave us some fine "illuminations," but the lion's share of the airplay requests, concert ticket and album sales were built on Marty's =long= string of "hot" love songs. (Straight from a pal at BGP at the time.) (And, yes, I =really= enjoyed those big "oatmeal" cookies. Yow!)
