I love it!... love you Jeff!

Lyrics:

(C.Dowd/J.Buckley)

This song is contained in Seedy Arkhestra's album Puzzle. Jeff plays lead guitar and sings backing vocals.

He found a letter from his lover

She said she's never coming home

His things were lying on her doorstep

And his tears they fell like rain

And in his mind, he knew

He'd love her always

Despite the tears

And in his town where few knew love

He'd spend his nights all alone, crying

And all the love he'd once shared with her

Was gone, long, long, long gone

And he knew a part of him was dying

And in his mind

He knew he'd love her always

Despite the tears

Don't cry, don't'cry, don't cry

Lover we tried, we tried, we tried

And in his mind he knew he'd love her always

Despite the tears

What album/single is this from-can anyone buy it?I loved to learn that he may have produced a reggae band/singer and he did play with reggae singer Shinehead :) It's so awesome :) I love the well-roundedness, his various interests musically :) And he sings well here, I like it. It must be early days while playing for Shinehead:)I love his voice singing soul in the end like Kravitz, Stevie Wonder, Sly Stone, Felix Cavaliere, John Waite ;) (a well looking like him) -Unless it's Chris Dowd So great, a great treasure He is so surprising with such a great range

To everyone saying this isn't Jeff. It is Jeff. This song was a collaboration with Chris Dowd.

this is not Jeff...sorry! He had never imitated black singers. And all his screams have nothing to do with Jeff's screams

Right on. And that guy is Chris Dowd, who was an original member of Fishbone, one of the baddest bands ever. Dowd has a phenomenal voice.

Hey Everybody!! I just wanted to leave a post about the origins of this song. We had been up all night drinking red wine and discussing the sweet pain that you have when you are in love with someone. So I hope that explains it. No that isn't Jeff singing. But i think it is a great song and a beautiful moment A moment between two great friends that will live on after we are gone. Peace, Chris Dowd
