I am more than familiar with Prince's catalog...I hear the similarities in the chords and key progression...so people are accurate when they say "it reminds me of Prince" but when you said the song was a sample of "The Beautiful Ones" that was actually inaccurate.

Prince's names wouldn't be in the liner notes unless he wrote the lyrics or produced the song. the key progression an the drum are exact samples. but if you mean that they didn't take the complete beat then yes that's correct its not a "direct sample" how Chuck Harmony did use Prince's The Beautiful Ones to create that beat. I would say youtube it but more than like it would be on here. So I suggest Spotify it if you can.

They have similar chords but I don't think it's a direct sample....I have the liner notes in front of me and I don't see anything that credits "The Beautiful Ones." And we all know that Prince does not play about getting credit for his music.
