This song still gives me tears with its beauty, passion and love for the Earth. Awesome.

I agree. Radio here in Vantown doesn't play her anymore. wtf? I'd also add Rheostatics, earlier Spirit of the West, The Skydiggers, and Art Bergmann to the list. Not Top 40, much better.

Jane is so friggin awesome. I was struggling to find her New York Trio album and it's out of print so I went to her website. She is frigging awesome. All I'm going to say is go to her website and find that album that you really want but can't find of Jane's. If she's got it she'll let you have it for a penny or less. That's the kind of lady she is. :)

I had a discussion with 40 year old Canadian music geeks: Seriously, what Canadian bands in retrospect were truly good? BUT the whole thing was "Other than Jane Siberry" - because she is so clearly above the bar the debate is about #2. Blue Rodeo? Cowboy Junkies? The Parachute Club??? I don't know. But Jane is a towering figure in Canadian music, and should be in music period. I fucking love this song!!!!

I had a copy of this album given to me in 1990 by a canadian friend and loved how original the songs where. I lost the album long ago and hearing this song now reminds me of the early 90ties.
