Mel has two singing sons- Steve and James.... it is really strange that they sound noting alike nor do they sound anything like their dad either, however they they can stand alone in the quality of of voices! Check out Steve do "I was born to be blue"! Mel wrote that song when he was about 19... imagine being so young n tender to write such a scorching hot song! Some musical family alright! I sure do miss Mel- best Jazz singer ever!
