Jackie Leven - Ancient Misty Morning medley - Tramway Glasgow 1995 descargar videos gratis

Recorded at the Tramway in Glasgow in October 1995 as he was supporting the Bathers. It was a last minute decision to record him and there were only 2 cameras left and right of stage and a terrible distored soundtrack. It wasn`t to be. Weeks later to my delight and astonishment I found out that a friend who was operating a camera at the back of the hall and was there to film the Bathers had actually recorded Jackie. This allowed a bodge together of Jackies set and this is a clip from it. If you listen on headphones you can hear the deep reverb of Jackies voice all over the hall and the performance is quite simply superb. Its just camcorder sound no mixer but maybe that was good as it just wouldnt have sounded the same with a more pro soundtrack. A wee gem!

I have 3 complete shows of Jackie 96 97 and 98does anyone know how I would go about releasing these?I don't know anything about copyright but I once read a leaflet from the MCPS which `seemed` to imply that as long as I paid them 6.25% royalty I could just release it/themthat doesn't sound right to me but it said that video copyright was much less complicate than audioif anyone can help [email protected] com

An interesting musician but often ponderous and with a poor sense of dynamics.

@3minboy you are correct as this was a statement made in the intro to `when i came in your room` (not sure if thats the title or not) at east kilbride 1997/8

I love 'A Blessing', I was also blessed to see Jackie twice live. It was a pleasure to speak to the great man. He signed my concert ticket with more than signature, if I remember correctly, "It takes a lover to get into a relationship, it takes a warrior to stay in it", I'll try and find it and correct it if I'm wrong!! I miss him. Listening to some songs still brings a lump to my throat. Thank You Jackie.

Thanks for appreciating the sound. No desk sound that night so 2 mics were used at front and back of hall but they were cheap and auto level I think but it captured Jackies voice resonating through the hall and its `very` live. Sad to hear Jackie passed away on Monday 14th Nov 2011 from cancer aged 61. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered, Jimmy Smith (Glasow UK) I`ll really have to dig out some more footage now! R.I.P.

My God, this is fantastic. He seems to be *at least* as good live as in the studio. I love the sound on this-- I'm listening to it thru headphones, BTW. I can't thank you enough for sharing this treasure with us.
