I found Steve many years ago. Now I know his music is timeless.

I recently came across a singer/songwriter/musician that I'd never heard of before. I absolutely LOVE this guy's music, voice and lyrics. I'm talking about Josh Rouse. I immediately had this connection in my head to Steve Forbert. Same exact reaction. Check Josh out...the link was so strong for me that I've already bought 6 of his albums and am replenishing my Steve Forbert collection now too !!!

In memory of radio presenter Gerry Anderson who was a big fan of Steve.... being laid to rest tomorrow. He would have loved this song. x Rest in Peace Gerry. x

Why does it come down to comparisons? Leonard Cohen/Steve Forbert. Just listen to each artist on their own. Steve Forbert is worth listening to all on his own. More than worth it. A treat, a delight.

When we meet again Kerry how much will have changed. I wish we could go back and make our own decisions with no influences. I miss you so much! Last i heard your voice was 7/4/01. I still feel the same about you! If i had one wish..

I had just returned from my 1st semester at UVa. A tough few months for a kid who didn't realize how dumb he was. Steve Forbert did an interview on WHFS, 102.3 FM, Bethesda, MD, when this record just came out. Somehow, it hit the spot. This is a great tune on a great LP from a period in which the weed of the new wave was choking out nearly every other genre of progressive music.

u got that right, even this guy who grew up in the Big Apple - i was 21 when the album debued, and wow, what lyrics. Deep, meaningful, and hit home with all the struggles I lived through in my childhood. I still love this album, got an original vinyl album IO bought when it first came out.
