A piece from the great Isao Tomita, this song is taken from the album "Tomita's Greatest Hits" and its nice renedition of Prokofiev, in my opinion!

Enjoy!

Sorry to have to tell you this, but this is NOT A SONG. A song is something sung by a human voice. This is nicely done electronic music.

Pictures at an Exhibition is just so fabulous. I was about the same age when I first heard it. Stunning. Then I got Bermuda Triangle. Wow!

Sorry for delay in getting back. Unfortunately, his repertoire does not include any of the British composers' works, to my knowledge. Yes Lark Ascending by Tomita could have been lovely. But now he may be too old to take on new challenge, as his hayday was clealy gone a while ago, I am afraid. Anyway he changed the universe of music, let alone the electronic music scene, and that decisively.

Why is this pieace so hillarious: It protrays the lushness of prokofiev's creation. the futuristic aspiration; it is wonderfully played, communicative as much as it is fine. The sound selection is a technological marvell. By all means, a masterpiece!!!

Mmmori: I TOTALLY agree with you. I prefer the Tomita versions. I don't know if he ever attempted any Vaughn Williams, but I would love to hear his interpretation of The Lark Ascending. Can you imagine? Ps: I bought this CD, and unfortunately the mastering is terrible, muddy and distorted.

Tomita's electronic versions often surpasse the original through his profound interpretation. He is one of the greatest artists that the 20th century produced.

@bubblabu The cool thing about this is that his interpretation of Prokofiev's work was stunningly awesome and spot on!
