My goodness, why weren't the police called in to stop this overt display of racism? Where are all the protesters, the news cameras, and the never-ending press coverage of this demonic act of pure race-based entertainment? I grew up in the white suburbs, but I remember being surrounded by the early 70s soul and blaxploitation movies. My brother and I thought it was all so cool -- Isaac, Pam Grier, Richard Roundtree, Al Green, etc, etc. The art coming from the African American community during this time seemed to me to have so much optimism and vitality. The vibes makes me feel great. Artists can really reach out and touch people across any boundary.

Isaac was a genious, his arrangements, inspiration for songwriting, the composition, and the most important thing, his uniqueness, originality, and the fashion created by that funky style, there is no quality of music like this anymore, sorry, but it's true, and what can I say about Van Mcoy, Commodores, Brothers Johnson, etc. etc. etc. etc. good good good music ...
