i always thought he is underrated he is very smooth and fluid with his solo and he capable of doing a lot of things that many famous guitarists can..i play too so i do know it when some one is underrated.

Piece of Mind is the best Heavy Metal album ever.. After that, nothing impressed me anymore in this style. I had to go back and listen Hendrix, Deep Purple and Zeppelin. Iron Maiden with these two talented guitarrists gave everything to metal .

Still can't imagine the way I play without the influence of Murray. His feel and smooth legato is absolutely flawless. And he can get highly technical.Goes to show that technique and feel don't have to be mutually exclusive. ;)
