Sorry,last thing. Germany uses the term Future Pop for bands like Mesh,De/Vision,Iris and so on. I prefer to call it synth because it the term used since 1980. Clan of Xymox is one of the bands you cant define,because they take from both the Gothic and Industrial camp. And just to close this,Electronic or Electronica is a 21st Century term for bands where the music is in front,and the people behind it not so important.

This is as is. Depeche Mode,Camouflage,Mesh,De/Vision,Covenant,Wolfsheim are synth bands. Front 242,Nitzer Ebb Laibach,Leæther Strip are industrial. Sisters of Mercy,The Mission and the like are Goth. Then there are bands like Sleeping Dogs Wake,Deine Lakaien and NIN who jumps around the different styles,and as such cant be classified as one or the other! Electronic Body Music is what the US tends to call Industrial,and finally the term Future Pop is the German term for new bands that makes-

Xymox or same band called Clan of Xymox, Nitzer Ebb etc.. as well is dark Gothic. They are not really gothic. Techno more like Camouflage. Look them up on youtube....

Front 242 I would consider gothic/electro industrial. They are the fathers of this kind of music. I mean you can say that ebm and futurepop are a lot alike but synthpop and ebm are really different. Look at all the bands I adifferentdrum they are all synthpop. Covenant is one band I think is the most ebm also cesium_137. Sometimes angels and agony

Nitzer nebb and Frontline arent even EBM they are gothic industrial if anything more gothic rock. Covenant, neuroticfish they are EBM

this is how electronic alternative rock should be! EBM would be like Nitzer Ebb and Frontline Assembly, this is too soft to be EBM, but its still a great song.
