I hate when people give this song shit because it's quote "nothing but gallops." Try doing gallops that precise and that fast, do it successfully and only then will you have the right to bitch about it being too "basic" lol.

"Bleed is the most complex song on the album drum wise"? Now I feel have to disagree with this statement and hear me out here.I honestly don't understand why everyone thinks it's so complex- It's just a herta pattern on the bass drum using 32nd and 16th notes while the hands play quarter notes in the beginning and changing a little bit here and there by inserting another 16th note or two to break up the pattern, all in 4/4 time. It is practically the same pattern the entire song, just moved around a bit.I have transcribed quite a few Meshuggah songs and this has got to be one of the easiest. The difficulty comes in the stamina and co-ordination required to continue the almost unrelenting string of hertas at a fairly brisk tempo throughout the 7 odd minutes of song.Difficult? Yes. Complex? Not really. "The spiteful snake" is far more complex rythmwise in my view...Funny how they thought bleed might not make the album when it ended up being a metal masterpiece and definitely the most popular and perhaps the most memorable song on the album, if not all of their albums.Hail Meshuggah!

My favorite thing about bleed is how huge it sounds,

Riffs/Bass drums are practically the same thing in Meshuggah.

All the Scandinavian Countries speak great english because it is taught in school at a young age and is just apart of the everyday talk. Many other countries do not put english at such high priority. When i traveled to Italy i had trouble finding anyone to speak english to. So not all countries are big on english. But Scandinavia is for some reason.

Tomas has always been a super humble dude, I just love his "frank" way of explaining his technique.

Song makes perfect sense after I found out it was about an aneurysm. Which is pretty metal when you think about it - it's an explosion of blood inside your brain.

Its crazy where double bass drum playing has gone from the 80's and 90's.

When I first heard this song, I thought, There's no way this could be played on drums without a trigger or with a programmed drum machine. Now that I know the kick drum riff is only played with two feet, I'm even more impressed than before. (And playing this on guitar? One thing at a time, please!) Trying to figure out this rhythm and how to count it has made my head feel almost the same as when I try to contemplate nothing existing (No stars, no galaxies, no universe, NOTHING. Try it if you never have. It's a quick, easy way to dip your foot into the pool of confusion and madness.). Pure chaos set to a head-bang inducing metal song. AWESOME!

It's awesome how he portrays the difficulty of the song. He's very eloquent as well. Now all we gotta see is the length of his secret 3rd (knob) drum stick. :-D
