Jane Monheit' live rendition of Cole Porter' timeless classic from the American Songbook of Jazz Standards.
The first time, I actually heard Jane render this standard was on her 'Taking a Chance on Love' album. Never have I been so impressed, as that time. Her emotions, the melody... I wish she had done the same on this live version but then I realize a lot can be done in a studio version in terms of hits & misses. If only that was possible the other way around. But nonetheless, a great rendition by an equally talented Jazz Vocalist. Bravo.

I love both the melody both the harmony of this song.The interpretation of Jane Monheit is wonderful with tenderness and melancholy.every note sung has a different dynamics musical, a color timbric different ... I like his passing from the "piano"(soft),"pianissimo"(very soft) to the "mezzoforti"(moderately loud),"forti"(loud),and vice versa,her "crescendo"(growing) and "diminuendo"(gradually becoming softer)...she uses her wonderful voice as was a musical instrument10 years ago
