As I get lazier and lazier, I've decided to perform and record this song putting minimum effort in production and costume design. So here I am in the bathroom, sitting on the bathtub, wearing a bathrobe. And who knows, maybe after I've finished uploading the song I'll just take a bath and relax a little - Lebowski style, ifyouknowwhatimean (hope no nihilist come hassle me though).

Hope you'll appreciate the skillful mirror trick on my right side. Took my inspiration from "The Lady from Shangai", as you Orson Welles's fans had surely guessed.

Enough for cinema references. The song I'm playing is a vaudeville classic, most famous in the Jimmy Rodgers's rendition, recorded in 1928 and featuring his mighty notorious yodel. You may notice though, my version owes a great deal to the "O brother, where art thou?" one, by the Soggy Bottom Boys (damn fine movie). Many other singers and musicians have recorded it, and if you want to know more, I suggest you read the very interesting Wikipedia article about it.
