This is when Page still had his voice, and Page's playing isn't sloppy as in latest concert video release. . Sign of age I guess. Doesn't bother dying his hair anymore. But quite a history.

Plant was born to be the front man!! Just like Jimmy was born to Rock the Fuck out of the guitar!! Zeppelin were simply the best!!

Page never gets his guitars to sound right live. He seems content to play with a compressed sound that sounds like cellophane squeezed through a keyhole.

Thank you so much for posting all these videos. I've been leaving comments on several, LOL. That night in Orlando Fl, during this tour, Page was playing through 2 MATCHLESS amps. We had great seats right in front of Page, so I could see them clearly. I'm a helluva guitarist myself & let me tell ya folks, THAT NIGHT, Page had the BEST TONE I ever heard from HIM or ANY guitarist in my entire life. ( And I had only heard about those amps.) I kid you NOT when I tell you his neck pickup sounded as if he was playing through Stevie Ray Vaughn's rig, NO exaggeration, and his LEADS were blazing & bad ass. My band mate who was a Strat man agreed. He was there too. It made me want to throw my Marshall amps in a ditch, ha ha!!! What a night. These videos bring back memories, too bad ya don't have the show we saw, their best ever in my opinion. And when they played "Since I've Been Loving You" that night, holy cow, did his rig make the tone better than anything before or since. It sounded as if his guitar were BLEEDING. My partner, the "Strat man" had a "change of opinion" of Les Pauls that night, LOL. Plus Pagey has the coil splitters in his guitar......such a GENIUS.
