A lip sync television appearance on the Hullabaloo TV Show from 1965. With special guest star, Frankie Avalon. Awesome rare footage and one of my favourite songs !

Great to see Frankie Avalon and the late Annette Funicello go out of their element for a bit and DO THE FREDDIE with "the Freddie" himself--Freddie Garrity!!!

Can't believe I actually watched these synchronised stiff stilted movements which were so common in the late 1950s and 1960s and thought they were in any way attractive! Yuk! Great group though.

Great song but utterly pathetic dance which unfortunately became a craze for a while.

if you see a white person dancing like he's black. He's not dancing. He's having a seizure. A good Dr. and the right meds it can usually be kept under control. What black people call dancing white people call epilepsy.

in the early 60s Cliff Richard & the Shadows were the biggest act in British rock & roll. This was before the Beatles. The Shadows danced while they played so The Freddie dance was a kind of response/parody of the Shadows. The record company gave it the name the Freddie. that's called marketing.

I have a few episodes of Hullabaloo. Loved the show and the groups. I remember this particular one. :-)

Brilliant Freddie, you were one of a kind then and still am!! No one has ever emulated your 'style' and you made your mark in history, absolutely fantastic!!
