The hardcore-punk-world has come to the point where we go onto music we dislike just to talk shit about it. We bash our friends and tear a band down as soon as they get a lot of fans or try to change their style up. And people still wonder why they don't play good music on the radio?This community, despite the fact that half of our music advocates the opposite, is the most self-destructive out of everything. We're like the Dubstep of alternative. Look at Skrillex and compare him to Bullet For My Valentine. Completely different bands, but a very similar story to tell career-wise. Started out small, fans loved them. But as soon as they started expanding beyond their supportive communities, their fan-base fall into turmoil, shouting words like sellout, only to bring them down to the point where you can no-longer talk about them without a SEWPER HARDCORREEEE DUB$TEP/METAL fan telling you they're the gayest shit alive.Really. Fucking pathetic.Tl;dr: Try supporting the bands you love a little longer than just their first album. Try not tearing down others in the same genre. Maybe you'll hear your favorite song on the radio within the next few years.
