I could yawn,and be withdrawn,and watch them gallop by. Gotta love it!Ian and the Blockheads,all fine musicians and engaging characters in their own right,were veterans of the pub rock scene for who the big time came when punk and New Wave hit,or in the words of the man himself in an interview a lot of the bands such as his and the Stranglers were "all us old boilers". And the world was infinitely a better place for it.

Ian Dury, my first "man-crush" hehe.. I met him when I worked for the Guardian newspaper and remember what a nightmare he was on that day he came in to do an interview.. he was manic, erratic and didnt take any shit from anyone.. but he commanded respect (and got it).. an amazing, eloquent man!
