If these guys just had Rush's attitude toward what keeps a band together, and kept Edwin, they would have broken into the states and then beyond, by far the most talented four piece to come out of Canada. Dig put them on the right track, and Scenery blew them far past anything that was placed in their "genre" ( I fucking hate that word) Tea Party, OLP, Mat Good Band, et al. couldn't even touch these guys talent. They would still be around if they had the right attitude, dare I say, "making Canada proud". Like have you guys and gals dared to turn on Much these days??? What in the fuck happened to music?!?!?.... One Direction?!?! I'll take N' Sync over this dribble. And that is really saying something. Listen to Billy Corgans interview with Howard stern on you tube, sums it all up.

I remember when Edwin got caught speeding in his Porsche on Hy way 400 in Barrie lol. I watched these guys live at the Brookdale in Barrie back in the day and loved them ever since!

Sigur Ross is good stuff for sure, a buddy who does solo recordings using all his own samples (into some strange music at times) introduced me and I never looked back.

I had stopped listening, honestly I listen to LOTS of instrumental post rock these days, I've recorded music like that for years with friends, now it's a "thing" lol Good Times. Anyway, though I still have a broad taste that goes beyond that I havnen't listened to IME in years. YOUR COMMENT WAS PERFECTLY TIMED, as I've been discovering all sorts of good new(to me) stuff, like Sigur Ros for example. I'm going to download all the IME albums I haven't heard. Thanks. I'll give it an honest go.

Edwin was good, but his replacement really found his sound with the band on Quick Silver and I don't feel the lose of Edwin really hurt them that much. Still a fantastic band just BlueGreenOrange didn't have the same feel, still learning each others sounds and finding their new direction. One thing we can all agree on is they should have been bigger than they are, some of the most talented Canadians to ever pick up instruments.

actually it's Chris and Jag that are the fat-head-ego-cunts. Edwin didn't leave because he thought he was too good, he left because they didn't actually let him be involved in.. you know, creating the music. Edwin didn't even write the lyrics, he just sang, that's a shitty way to treat your singer... so he left to go do something where he could actually contribute to the creative process. Control freaks ruined the band, not egos.

I agree, however IMO Brian Byrne was a better singer and Quick Silver Meat Dream is one of the best albums released.
