@MrBahhh31 I feel exactly the same way now. When my wife left me and our children after 15 years of marriage. I listened to this song and cried because I wasn't able to let go, I did this video to this most amazing lyrical styling piece of music and I cried because I finally understood what it meant and then I could let go after all..It has been a long journey and the works of Alison Krause have been a constant companion. Why yes in deed this song was wrotten by Michael McDonald and appears on his solo work, "If That"a What it Takes" MacDonalde did do a stint with Steeley Dan as a singer complimenting the Becker=Fagen creative duo quit43 nicely. I did not previously know this so I thank you greatly for enlightening my day

Very True, Very True! This song certainly speaks straight to the heart of those who have stood at that jumping off point, do we let go now, and fall helplessly, or do we hold on in desperation? Ah that is the question that Ms. Krauss answers so poetically in this song. Thanks for the comment.
